Romantic candlelight, box from the garage, clean sheets, champagne, big load of laundry on the bed…some of the things are cramping the mood! No one feels romantic in a cluttered Master bedroom. Often in family homes, the master is the catch all room when company is coming over. Somehow, that junk stays. Time we do something about that. Show your spouse that time together is important to you. The master is a getaway car. Yall’s oasis in chaos. Time to make it a place you both love to escape to.
No more catch all! Create a space in your hall to set things. An easy narrow table with 2 clear bins underneath. Every time a kid walks down the hall, or an adult, grab what’s yours and put it away. Hallways are narrow. Good chance it will get put away quickly.
Find the right tune! While cleaning the master, put on some mood music. Music that makes you think about your spouse in all of the good healthy ways you should be. Believe it or not, the right playlist can turn that space into a romantic space in your mind. That is where the battle is. Clear out the frustration you may have and let the romance and love flood in.
Next step linen spray! Wash your sheets weekly. No Minnie Mouse or Buzz Lightyear linens. Put your master sheets on! I am enclosing my favorite linen spray recipe. You will both love to climb into clean sheets!
1/4 cup witch hazel
15 drops of sandlewood essential oil
15 drops of geranium essential oil
1 glass spray bottle.
Spray on your sheets and let dry before making your bed.
Clean your fan and air vents. Vacuum and dust under your bed. Believe it or not, a lot of allergens and odors are trapped in the dust in these places.
